The self-guided nature trail is 1/2 mile in length and takes 1-2 hours to complete. It begins and ends at Rocky Point Picnic Area. The trail starts along the lake and meanders through Douglas fir, ponderosa pine, Gambel oak, and fern. Various signs identify the vegetation and landmarks. A sinkhole can be seen from the trail.

Directions:

From the north - From Winslow take Forest Road 34 to Forest Road 300 then turn left (east) 0.6 miles to Woods Canyon Lake entrance road. Follow signs to Rocky Point.

From the south - Take State Highway 260 to Forest Road 300; drive 3 miles on Forest Road 300 to Woods Canyon Lake entrance and follow signs to Rocky Point.
