Tortilla campground is closed until further notice
Tortilla
Campground is located just steps away from the Historic
town of Tortilla Flats nestled in the Superstition Mountain
Range. Just a handful of people live here but the town hosts
over 1 million visitors each year.
The town boasts a restaurant
(saloon) which features bar stools made out of saddles,
and a patio grill (above), a post office, and a mercantile/gift
shop. the campground is only two miles from Scenic Canyon
Lake. Canyon is the smallest lake in the Salt River Project
at just 950 acres. That doesn'y limit the fun though. Fishing,
watersports, an excursion boat and plenty of covered ramada
lakeside picknicking to fill your afternoon. There are a
couple of paved boat launches on either side on the marina.
Tortilla Campground is a winter campground and is closed from mid April until mid October.
