Palo Verde Day Use Area as seen from Canyon Lake

The Palo Verde Day Use Area at Canyon Lake is a wonderful getaway from the congestion of the city. Activities include boating, fishing, picknicking and water recreation. There are 8 picnic sites with a nearby paved boat launch. The day use area includes fully accessible vault toilets and four accessible parking spaces near the water. A grassy area is maintained along the shore and Tortilla Flats Campground is just a few miles away. The nearbly marina has a store, boat rentals, an excursion boat, ice, and emergency phone and fishing supplies.

Directions

From Mesa, travel east on U.S. 60 (Superstition Freeway) to the Idaho Road exit. turn north and drive to State Hwy 88. Turn right on State Hwy 88 and after crossing the first bridge at Canyon Lake, look for the Palo Verde sign and turn left into the day use area.
